If weight loss is all about distractions and doing some COOL stuff, here’s an idea:

Take some crazy photos today with YOU in them.

The photo above is me from last year, all spry.

(I am less spry right now as I recover from an injury).

You can use your phone to snap a picture, and you can get in the photo yourself using a timer or by using a bluetooth tool to control the shutter on your phone’s camera.

I got that photo above with my Apple Watch that syncs with the camera app on my iPhone. Below in the photo you can see the photo app on the watch. I hit the button on my watch and it gives me three seconds to pose. It’s pretty slick. It’s how I get all of my “jumping” photos — hit the button, count, and jump. 🙂 

I have also simply set the phone up and hit the 10 second timer and see what I get. 🙂 

What ON EARTH does this have to do with weight loss?

Well, the more we can get out there and engage with the wonderful world, the more we will begin to shift from a food-focused life.

In fact, bonus points if we can take photos of ourselves engaged in some way with our BIG GOAL. (Our Big Goal is the thing we will be doing in the future at a life-changing weight.)

I can also tell you that you might really lean into these photos when things get tough.

I know I do.

I have hundreds of photos from a year ago that I do scroll through these days as I spend time recovering from my injury.
