In partnership with

We are on fire to finish 2025 in a legendary fashion.

Today is Day 8 of the last 100 Days of 2025.

I want you to join us if you haven’t.

But I don’t want to bug you either…. if I am bugging you, unsubscribe here:

(This email is the only way I am communicating these days. I am on a complete social media break but hope we can keep some fire going with this simple email.)

That said…..

THANK YOU for the super-great comments last week about getting going on these 100 days. I love it!! (Find some great comments below.)

I’ll be touching base on these 100 days at least every Tuesday in these emails. (See the holiday e-book below which will provide some of our direction.)

I’ll send you some encouragement and suggestions by email and you’ll roll through the fall holiday season in legendary fashion.

That’s the vision.

Thank you for the great notes in response to last week’s email. I just put the stickers in the mail yesterday. (Except the internationals which go out today.)

Building Evidence Through Fall 2025

This week, give a little thought to the concept of “building evidence.”

It’s very easy to look at the fall season and think, “I always give in with the pumpkin spice sugar cookies.”

And then what happens?

We give in.

We end up in a perpetual cycle during these seasons, regaining all that we might have just lost.

The fact is that if you tell me, “I always give in to the pumpkin spice sugar cookies. I know I will this year too..” …. I will believe you.

In fact, I’d bet real money on you eating those cookies.

Why?

Because you just told me you would.

We know where the path leads, so why not take a different path?

This is the year I walk past the cookies.”

In the process of taking that new path, recognize that your different path is building evidence for something else instead: “I ignore the sugar cookies.”

Wouldn’t it be a great world to simply ignore sugar cookies forever and ever? That’s the end game: “Sugar cookies? meh…

(I know it’s hard to imagine and it’s a process, but it’s a process that makes the struggle easier not harder.)

Start thinking about small ways in which you can build evidence. Tiny little bits of evidence can stack up in powerful ways.

Avoid those cookies once and see where it leads.

100 days here I come! Getting back to my goal weight will feel GREAT!!!!” — Andrean

I have been on a holiday eating binge for the summer even longer. Today is my first day after a doctor visit and weigh in sad I have gained a lot back from my lowest weight but now I am back feeling strong. And will do the 100 days I also. Joined a gym get me out to move and work out…enjoyed watching the new video with the ladies … Very inspiring to get started thank you…” — Donna

My goal for this challenge is simply to complete it. I have a habit of giving up on myself too soon to see the results that I know are coming. A bit of a self saboteur. My Christmas gift to myself this year is to see it through.” — Reba

I needed to see this today. I've been disconnected from the Bear community for a hot minute and I need to jump back in full speed. The past couple of years have been a challenge but the excuses are over. I want to live and I want to enjoy that life in good health.” — Terri

How did we get here, already? I'm in my early 60's (61 in November). That question is haunting me, daily! How did I get here? My age? My weight? RETIREMENT planning! How did it happen so freaking fast! I'm shocked.

So my goal for the next 100 days is to become conscious of my food. I tend to mindlessly eat (a great reason to do one meal a day for sure). I am having heart issues, due to weight, weight loss drugs, and obesity. My doctor hit me with "Your weight is handicapping you severely." Those words pierced my heart and made me listen. My shift went from how did I get here to what are you going to do now?

The play date is over.” — Beth

I am definitely on board for the last 100 days. My word for 2025 was TRUST, as in trust the process. Trust that eating like a bear yields results and it works if you work it. I have lost about 20lbs since Jan 1 2025, got unstuck from the +5/-5 yo-yo, and am seeing numbers I haven’t seen for decades. My plan is to finish strong by staying on plan one day at a time. And come what may, you will find me at Focus Friday, sharing the highs and lows of the week. It keeps me honest and on track. I’m so grateful for the bears.” — Donna

And so it begins! Again!

In 2020, I lost 50 lbs and I felt amazing! I loved shopping, trying on new clothes, and moving was so freeing! Then I got comfortable & lazy and before I knew it the weight was back on.

Even though I am discouraged with myself that I let this happen (again), I know I have my ELAB community to fall back on. — Kim

Let’s go, guys!!!! It’s Day 8 of the last 100 of 2025.

I Sent Out Some Mandala Bears and Haikus Too

I had a fun week sending out mail to the community. Ten members of the Deep Den received Mandala Bears artfully created by Carrie. I included personalized haikus as well. I sent Deep Den members who checked in on the 100 day challenge stickers and haikus too. I had a great haiku week!

(I am not sure how good the haikus actually are, but I wrote them all from my heart.)

That’s it! See you soon.
