in 100 days from today...

do you know?

In partnership with

In 100 days from today, it will be Labor Day!

Teresa brought that up in Wednesday’s live video and, boy, did it hit for a lot of us.

What will YOU do in these 100 days to bring the impact you need by Labor Day?

Really, even slowing down a bit or getting a little more sleep will help with pretty much anything that ails us, including improving weight loss.

This summer I have no other focus than improving my sleep and the general inflammation in my body. (Thank you for all of the comments and suggestions, by the way.)

With me on hiatus this year, our whole social media project at Eat Like a Bear is but a whisper. Especially if you’re not in the Deep Den member area, this is the season to grab a friend and work on some of these projects together. Maybe you have kids or grandkids who would join you through these 100 days. (Last summer my teenager joined me in weight loss. This summer my whole crew may be joining me.)

It is the most perfect set of 100 days for a change!

That photo up there? That’s our 100-day path. :)

It’s simple and it leads to incredible places.

If you end up on any big adventures (or really any little ones too), post a photo for us here: https://www.eatlikeabearden.com/c/our-century-life-image-gallery/

Shout Out to the Cup

You may have caught that I was drinking buckets of coffee a year ago and for months I was working on cutting back. Then I got my big head injury. There’s nothing like a big ole head injury and sleeping problems that gets you all disciplined.

I mentioned I’m at two cups a day now, and that’s two cups of TEA, not coffee. (Who knew…)

Far be it from me to take anyone’s coffee from them, but if you’re cutting back too, I find it useful to remind myself that caffeine has a half life of 5-7 hours, meaning that half that cup is still flowing through us hours later. Goodness.

So, I am looking for less caffeine and I am looking for a nutritious beverage. If you are too, here’s another shout out to the sponsor of this email newsletter. They make a quality matcha.

I really like that they come in the “sticks” (the individual packets). You can keep a few in your bag so you’re never without and never have to settle when you’re out and about.
