We are on fire to finish 2025 in a legendary fashion.

Today is Day 1 of the last 100 Days of 2025.

I want you to join us if you haven’t.

I’ll be touching base on these 100 days at least every Tuesday in these emails. (See the holiday e-book below which will provide some of our direction.)

I’ll send you some encouragement and suggestions by email and you’ll roll through the fall holiday season in legendary fashion. That’s the vision.

Some of us have been revving up and are hitting Day 1 with extreme steam. Others are starting today. We’re all over the place, but doing it with great community spirit.

We ended up excited and jumping in early because of Teresa’s own success in the 100 days of summer. (She is in the LIVE video below too.) I’m down 8 pounds and gunning to lose my regain from the last year by the end of 2025.

Teresa wrote a great charge for us this morning in the Deep Den Water Cooler called “No Resolution.”

No Resolution

I think that for many of us, this is not actually “Day 1” - it’s just another day on the road we have been on.  For some of us, it may truly be “Day 1.”  Regardless, today represents the start of a countdown for all of us – 100 hundred days left in this crazy year.  What can we accomplish in 100 days?  Hint:  we can accomplish a lot.

If you are a person who loses an average of one-fourth of a pound each day – which translates into just under 2 pounds per week, so very possible for many of us – you can lose 25 pounds in these 100 days.  I’m going to round that down to a target of 20.   If you have your scale number from today, subtract 20 pounds from that number.  And think of how it would feel to be THERE on January 1, 2026, rather than being here (or higher), making yet another resolution to lose weight in the coming year.  Hint:  it would feel fabulous.

If we take advantage of these 100 days, we won’t need a New Year’s Resolution.  I don’t mean that we won’t still need to lose weight; I think many of us will.  Even if I subtract 20-25 pounds, I will still need to lose plenty.  But we won’t need a resolution to start losing, because we will already be doing it.  We will be well underway, with 100 days of progress already behind us.  They might not all be perfect days, but doing the best we can do will move us forward, instead of staying put or moving backward.  My choice the past few years has been to just phone it in during October/November/December, eat everything in sight for three months, and deal with the fallout in January.  But not this year! 

It's like a much longer version of my recent trip.  I could have pushed pause on my efforts, eaten everything in sight for three full days, and dealt with the fallout when I got home.  I know that would have produced a gain of several pounds that I would have had to re-lose.  But instead, I did my best – with one pretty big hiccup – and gained only a pound that I’ve already lost.  So in these 100 days, I will also do my best, and minimize the hiccups.  Do that with me – with all of us – and in January, we won’t be re-losing weight or making a resolution to lose weight…we will just be moving on down the road that we are already firmly on.  Talk about a Happy New Year!
