You KNOW what I'm talking about if you're in the states!

Here's the core problem: We open that door to eating just a little bit and then we keep hearing the knocking.

"Oh, there's still pie in the fridge!"

knock, knock, knock...

"Wow. How is there leftover egg nog?"

knock, knock, knock...

You've got to close the door and stop the knocking and the only way I've found to do that is to clear it all out of my house.

I have actually thrown food completely out, because wasting it by throwing it out is far better than my eating it.

(It can be composted and make a contribution to our soil!)

But wait, you have family who insist on keeping the food?

 Handle it like I did in my rapid weight loss phase: Tell them to keep their food stash privately, out of the public spaces.

Do they need another two days to finish it? Fine, give them a deadline, and in the next two days try not to do so much damage that it will take you two months to recover from.

AND... if you do a lot of damage... we've all been there.

Hang in there.

We've got a lot of "white knuckling" in the community right now and we're all going to get through this.

Take a moment to go outside and grab some fresh air.

It’s little actions like this that win the long game.
