We’ve been talking about HUNGER lately. I’ve been reflecting on the times when I have been in sustained weight loss for WEEKS.
How does it FEEL to be in a weight loss phase?
I feel a bit like an empty shell.
I have a definite “empty” feeling about myself, and I can sure see how my mind could play tricks on me and tell me how sad it is to feel empty, pathetically empty and hungry.
But there is a freedom and lightness to it as well.
How should we think about these sorts of seasons?
It’s pretty clear to me: Lean into the lightness.
Be light. Be free.
It’s that feeling of lightness that leads to actual lightness.
What an amazing thing to be free of the pounds!
I myself am getting strict this week and looking forward to that light and empty feeling very soon. I’m up 15 pounds since my head injury in July and I am ready to leave the pounds behind.
