This is just a quick note on a revelation I’ve had this month.

I noticed something crazy and obvious a few weeks ago and it’s been the topic of my chatter in the Deep Den: When my brain is oxygenated, it is FAR EASIER to make good eating decisions.

The neurologists say that the oxygen helps my frontal lobe works better. Things like my inhibitions work a little better. I am less likely to snack on something mindlessly or eat an extra meal.

Frankly, I had never noticed or paid attention until my frontal lobe was injured in a head injury in 2024.

In fact, it’s such a noticeable difference for me these days that I tucked my eating in or around my gym time, when the cardio exercise is delivering more oxygen and blood to my brain.

You could do the same, or you could add a strategic short walk right before your meal to improve your mental processing and make your food decisions just a little bit easier.

Give it a try. There is no downside to a little extra blood flow and oxygen to your brain.
