It is a bright crisp day here in California and the soup pot is on. This cabbage soup is a simple work-horse in the world of getting to that weight loss finish line.

Personally, I love cabbage. The flavor is great and versatile. More importantly, it is a highly-fibrous vegetable that just sticks to my ribs a bit better than others.

In this video I talk about the classic cabbage soup diet, which has driven a lot of weight loss over the years, in fits and spurts. It may be everybody's favorite diet to drop 10 pounds quick, but I haven't met a person who has used it for long term weight loss. Of course, our variation of it does just that.
