It’s crazy that this works so well for HUNGER.
And, boy, have I struggled with hunger. My adrenal hormones are out of whack due to my head injury and sometimes I feel like I could gnaw my arm off.
Anyhoo, how to get SATISFIED when you are constantly HUNGRY?
See that red stuff in the picture? That’s just a jalapeño vinegar and it’s really kind of shocking how effective it is at helping you feel satisfied with your meal. You could also just add jalapeño (or just vinegar). Try adding one and report back.
Tracking More Than Weight: One Simple Thing
I’ve also been tracking a whole lot more than my weight back lately, and it’s a good thing because my weight-tracking would otherwise be very discouraging.
It’s easy to get discouraged and off-track.
Here’s one tiny thing I am tracking: My resting heart rate as I go to bed.
My resting heart rate is too high in general, but it’s higher if I eat late in the day. I suspect it would be quite high if I were snacking at night. It’s higher when I am “worked up” and not relaxing.
I need to be relaxing and I need to put up safeguards against snacking. Monitoring my resting heart rate helps keep me more disciplined on those points.
Tracking For The Long Game
I’ve been tracking a lot of things back here and I may end up tracking even more.
My test results have been giving us little clues as to what therapies to implement for my injury. It makes me wonder what else I should be testing for and that’s where I am curious.
