Never disrespect the YOU who’s getting you there.

Sure, your YOU has maybe gotten you in some tough spots but the road is rough and filled with a lot of uncertainty.

My shoes — my clunky ole nurses shoes that I wore around at 280 pounds that I long-since threw away — today I glance down at a pair of purple Hokas that are about to take me out on a walk.

The Hokas are a 6 ½ medium but those old shoes were 7 wide. It’s a whole new world and a whole new shoe, as my feet simply struggle far less with inflammation.
